Autobiographical

My full-length book, Where We Think It Should Go, can be yours via Octopus Books, Small Press Distribution, or Amazon. We better celebrate these hard copies while we can. When I'm not writing poetry, I teach amazing young people who are blind. I believe in a healthier future.

Hello hello hello! There's so much grass growing in my backyard. It's May in California, anywhere. The dirt path and tons of tall grass all around it. And the magnolia tree shading it all most of the day. The mourning dove sitting on her trembling babies. The screen door squeaking at its hinge.

our weirdo blackberry bushes, fed by who knows what runoff, are back and sharp. the laurel tree's new shoots are approaching full porch domination. last night was very calm, today a squall of rain followed by another calm. squirrels make fierce battle in our walls.
